Overview: This professional learning series is designed for high-performing teachers ready to transition into team leadership roles. Join a cohort of like-minded educators, and gain the skills and knowledge needed to excel as a team leader in the Multi-Classroom Leader™ role.
Cost: $1,025 per person for full learning series
Duration: 12 hours of live, virtual training led by experienced facilitators, occurring twice monthly from February - April 2025.

Sessions:
FREE! Info Session for the Aspiring MCL™ Academy (January 15, 2025): This optional, free session provides an overview of the MCL™ Academy and the Opportunity Culture® model, allowing potential participants to gauge their interest and ask questions before committing.
Session 1: Introduction to Aspiring Multi-Classroom Leader™ Academy and the Opportunity Culture® Initiative (February 12, 2025): Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Multi-Classroom Leader™ role and its significance within the Opportunity Culture® model. This session sets the foundation for the rest of the learning series.
Session 2: What is Ambitious Teaching and Learning? (February 26, 2025): Explore the concept of ambitious teaching and learning and its connection to the Get Better Faster scope and sequence.
Session 3: Classroom Observation for the Purpose of Teacher Development: Becoming Attuned to Engagement and Rigor (March 12, 2025): Develop your observation skills by learning to take low-inference notes and interpret classroom instruction using the Get Better Faster framework, with a focus on classroom culture and instructional rigor.
Session 4: Observing and Interpreting Instruction: 5- to 10-minute classroom observations (March 26, 2025): Practice conducting brief classroom observations, focusing on instructional practices and receive feedback from facilitators on possible action steps.
Session 5: Observing and Interpreting Instruction: 15- to 20-minute classroom observations (April 9, 2025): Conduct longer classroom observations, take low-inference notes, and collaboratively debrief with colleagues to identify positive observations and areas of improvement, and develop action steps for teachers based on observations.
Session 6: MCL™ Panel and Next Steps for Pursuing an OC™ Role (April 23, 2025): Engage with a panel of experienced MCL™ educators, gain insights into their experiences, and explore the pathways and next steps to applying for the role.
